Cabo Revisited

I've been on traveling mode lately and it reminded me of one of the best trips this year so far. Cabo! I love that place and hope i'll get to go again. It was great to experience a different environment away from the concrete jungles of Los Angeles. This was the last day on the trip as we got breakfast from the cute little shop run by a San Diego native just following her dream to live in paradise. After picking up the last meal to go, we went back to our hotel Mar de Cortez to grab our bags and joined our driver to take us to the airport. On the way we enjoyed getting background info from the driver on where was the best authentic places to eat as well as super cheap mom and pop's which served same quality plates as all the fancy places overlooking the ocean or marina views. Well I wish we had that detail upon our arrival instead of our departure. Oh well, we loved everything we did and saw there and my knowledge can be used next time we're back! So with that, I hope you enjoy my last outfit featuring this high waisted slit maxi skirt I made!

Modified Ikat

The skirt I am wearing from Target was originally a halter dress with a beaded neckline. It was beautiful at the time I got it but I fell out of love with it since wearing it a few times. So to revive my love for it I decided to chop off the top part. I didn't care for it anymore and I thought making it a skirt would give more versatility for other outfits in the end. Also I added slits to the sides for movement and an updated look.

El Capitan

It is another day discovering Cabo! Weather here is pretty much like Los Angeles. Sunny, hot, clear skies. Aaaahhhh. But the water, don't even compare! Can I just live here?
So what am I wearing? The acid washed denim shirt is one of my favorites to throw on because it's easy to wear with almost anything I have and I love the cut of the hem. The shirt itself is purchased. After wearing it a few times I updated it with the chain embellished shoulder patches to make it feel new again! So easy. The short sleeve I'm wearing under is one from my work. I love the print and it's not something I usually wear (over the top prints) but look out, I'm really into them right now. The skirt is sweater material and so comfortable. Love the colors and print. Sweater on a day like this? Look, I don't believe in rules. I'm comfortable and that's all that matters.

Comfy Cool Cabo

For my trip to Los Cabos I wanted to be comfortable because that's how you should travel, basically. This olive stretch skirt I made complete with pockets was perfect for my first day there I thought. I made the skirt longer as you can see, because I prefer wearing heels but knowing we would be on foot throughout our journeys around the town I opted for flat sandals. Paired with a tie dye top from Bleu (design from my real job) made the ultimate easy breezy outfit any one would be comfortable in. Throughout my trip it was really cool to see tie dye was a pretty huge fashion staple there too! Enjoy my adventures with me!
