Modified Ikat

The skirt I am wearing from Target was originally a halter dress with a beaded neckline. It was beautiful at the time I got it but I fell out of love with it since wearing it a few times. So to revive my love for it I decided to chop off the top part. I didn't care for it anymore and I thought making it a skirt would give more versatility for other outfits in the end. Also I added slits to the sides for movement and an updated look.

Fur'k, baby it's cold outside: 3 outfits/1 little black dress

I made this dress way awhile ago and am now just finally posting it. I love the sexy cut-out design giving the body illusion of impossible curves. There is an elegant feeling given by the long sleeves, high neck line, and lace all over. A great piece to wear on a cool breezy summer night on a date or a special event might I say!

I thought I should end the year with a bang and do three outfits for my last post of the year withis pretty little number. Bare with me because there are LOT'S OF PICTURES. Let me know which one you like:) Can you tell which one's my fave?

simple and easy, right?

PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE THEM!

I am in love with this concept! So many different versions came up while brainstorming on the idea (by myself). I won't bore you with all of them, only this one... This concept is not suitable for young girls because its suggestive graphics but I definitely think it is something fun I encourage for the mature young ladies (or young at heart) with quirky unapologetic minds. I mean, you just can't care if a few people are offended by a couple of hand prints on a shirt. But really I didn't notice any horrible looks from a single person while wearing this all around Santa Monica with people from all over the world. I live to dress another day:)

OUTFIT: sunglasses; dress barn (yep), earrings, bangle, pearl necklaces; santee alley, purse; ross, top; my print on H&M tee, skirt; H&M, wedge; citadel mall (can't remember store name, eek!)

Black on black on black and a Little bit of this

When you can't hide under a sheer top or a cold shoulder, you can hide in your pockets. Your hands and little things like lip gloss, ID, or credit cards are well hidden in this tiny little skirt. And a skirt of this volume you might even be able to throw in a cell phone! Sometimes you just don't want to lug around a purse. Top and skirt (my designs), necklace; Santee Alley, knee highs; Zara, shoes; Steve Madden. Photos by Katie Ralston and Arturo Pulido.

Bulls fan, No Lie

It's basketball bonanza today! All the big NBA teams are playing throughout the day. The game I'm for sure going to watch is the one at 2pm. The Bulls. I have to DVR it for later though because supposedly it's Christmas today and I have to be social.  No one tell me the results, please. I've become a fan since seeing one magical game Derek Rose played last season. From that moment on I have been checking if he will ever come back to play. But no, he's hurt. So here's to crazy looking Noah, Boozer, and Belinelli to put it in the basket more than the Rockettes today! About my outfit: Bulls cap, Adidas; beaded peter pan collar necklace and bracelet; santee alley; sweatshirt with a touch of me (pockets), H&M, Skirt; my creation.
